Frequently Asked Questions
Why do spaces turn into %20?
%20 is the percent-encoded representation of a space character, since raw spaces are not allowed in a URL.
Should I encode an entire URL or just parts of it?
Typically you encode individual query parameter values, not the whole URL — encoding slashes and colons in the base URL would break it.
