PDF Split

Splitting a PDF breaks it into smaller files — either one file per page, or evenly sized groups of pages. This tool does it entirely in your browser and packages the results into a single ZIP download.

How to Use This Tool

  1. Choose a PDF file — the page count appears once it loads.
  2. Pick "Every page as its own PDF" or set a number of pages per file.
  3. Click Split PDF.
  4. Download the result as a ZIP.

Why Use ToolVigo's PDF Split

  • Split into single pages or fixed-size chunks.
  • Packs every output file into one ZIP download.
  • Shows the page count before you commit to a split mode.

Limitations

Built to handle the great majority of everyday PDFs (from Word, Google Docs, scanners, and most online tools). A small number of PDFs using unusual or very old structures may show a friendly error instead of a result — nothing is corrupted in that case, since the tool checks the file before writing any output.

Privacy & Security

This tool runs entirely in your browser using a PDF engine built for ToolVigo. Your file is never uploaded to our server.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. This tool reads and rebuilds your PDF entirely in your browser using JavaScript. The file never leaves your device.

Can I choose exactly which pages go in which file?

For arbitrary custom groupings, use the Page Extractor to pull a specific set of pages into one new PDF instead.
