How to Use This Tool

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I compress an image to 100KB?
Type 100 in the target size box and click Compress Image. The tool tries lower quality settings first and only shrinks the dimensions if quality alone cannot reach the target.
Why is there no PNG output?
PNG is lossless, so a quality setting does not shrink it the way it does for JPEG or WebP. To reduce a PNG a lot, export it as WebP or JPEG.
Will compression reduce image quality?
Yes, JPEG and WebP compression discards some detail. At quality 70 to 80 the difference is usually hard to see on photos, but text and sharp graphics show artifacts sooner.
