Image Rotator
Photos taken on a phone sometimes come out sideways, and scans can be slightly crooked. Rotate the picture in fixed quarter turns or by any angle you enter, then save the result as a new file.
How to Use This Tool
- Choose an image.
- Select a quarter turn, or choose Custom angle and type the number of degrees.
- Click Rotate Image.
- Download the rotated picture.
Why Use ToolVigo's Image Rotator
- Quarter turns are lossless in terms of pixels: nothing is cropped.
- Any angle supported; the canvas grows so no part of the image is cut off.
- Output is PNG so custom angles keep transparent corners.
Supported Formats
JPG/JPEG, PNG and WebP images up to 25 MB. Other formats depend on what your browser can open.
Limitations
Output is always PNG, which can be larger than a JPEG of the same picture.
Privacy & Security
This tool runs entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Your image is never uploaded to ToolVigo's servers and nothing is stored after you close the page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why are the corners transparent after a custom rotation?
Rotating by an angle that is not a multiple of 90 leaves empty triangles in the corners. They are transparent in the PNG. Use the Image Background Color Changer to fill them.
Which direction is a positive angle?
Positive angles rotate clockwise. Use a negative number, such as -10, to rotate counter-clockwise.
